Gracie Abrams Gives Rare Comment on Navigating Relationship with Paul Mescal
The "That's So True" singer and the 'Gladiator II' actor have been romantically linked since June
Gracie Abrams isn't fazed by the public attention on her relationship.
In a cover story interview with NYLON released Tuesday, Dec. 17, the "That's So True" singer was asked how she felt about navigating a relationship with actor Paul Mescal while in the public eye.
“That has nothing to do with me,” Abrams, 25, said.
She simply added, “It doesn’t affect me.”
The "Close to You" singer was first linked to the Gladiator II actor, 28, in June 2024 when they were spotted sharing a meal in London.
Two months later, they were photographed walking and holding hands in London. In one photo, Abrams jokingly bit Mescal's finger. A source confirmed to PEOPLE they were "hooking up" but it was "still early stages" in August.
Since then, the pair has shown up in support of each other's careers. In October, Mescal attended Abrams' New York City show at Radio City Music Hall, where he was spotted dancing and singing along to her music. Then, in November, Abrams attended the Los Angeles premiere of his movie Gladiator II.
On Nov. 26, a source told PEOPLE they are "the real deal."
“They’re at the top of their game and always in communication," the source said, adding that they plan on taking a vacation together in the new year.
Most recently, the pair was spotted together after they both made their back-to-back Saturday Night Live debuts, according to footage shared on TikTok.

In the video, Mescal and Abrams were seen exiting a car and holding hands as they headed into an N.Y.C. building.
The "Risk" singer also stopped briefly to address some of the fans who were waiting to greet them. "Have a good night, you guys," she said before going inside.
While speaking with GQ for the magazine's November issue, the Normal People actor opened up about wanting to keep his relationships private. He "learned that there’s certain lines in the sand now for me that just are going to be impenetrable for the benefit of my own sanity."
"The speculation has been kind of mad for the last x amount of years. I’m not comfortable inviting any access into that part of my life," he said at that time. "How I am in my private life is so precious to me because I get very little of it, and it might be public interest, but it’s not public-obligated information.”
