A Glamorous Triplex Penthouse in the Cayman Islands Can Be Yours for $38.8 Million
The Cayman Islands encompasses three islands—Grand Cayman and the smaller Cayman Brac and Little Cayman—in the western Caribbean Sea and plays host to impressive five-star hotels that are moving the needle when it comes to luxury tourism in the Caribbean. The allure of the islands, however, extends beyond just stunning beaches and excellent hotel offerings.
The Cayman Islands’ international status as a renowned tax haven presents an interesting advantage to affluent buyers. And, if you have several tens of millions to shell out for the ultimate oceanfront home, the second-most-expensive residence currently available within the British Overseas Territory, priced at a whopping $38.8 million, can now be yours. Called The Pearl, the triplex penthouse is within The Watermark, a lavish condo building developed by Fraser Wellon and perched directly above Grand Cayman’s iconic Seven Mile Beach.

The entire development wouldn’t look out of place in a luxury Miami condo, with high-level finishes and materials from Julie Charbonneau Design. The Watermark complex, including The Pearl and its many amenity spaces, will be completed by mid-2025 and is poised to be one of the most luxurious and expensive condo buildings on the island. Kim Lund, broker/owner of the Lund Team at Re/Max Cayman Islands, holds the listing.

The entire residence has a light color palette and materials like white marble and light oak for cabinetry and floors. Paired with sleek, neutral furnishings and curved, clean lines, the entire penthouse has a breezy and ethereal vibe.
The heart of the home is a spectacular living and dining room with soaring 22-foot-high ceilings, fluted columns, floor-to-ceiling windows, and sculptural light fixtures. Nearby is a sculptural bar crafted from black marble. The penthouse’s rigorous design extends to the clean-lined kitchen, which is swathed in vein-matched slabs of white marble, with an eat-in island, state-of-the-art appliances, and lighted cabinetry. Off the kitchen is a charming family room, and elsewhere is an office/library.
A floating staircase leads to the upper floor bedrooms and terraces. Each guest bedroom has a walk-in closet and private bath, while the palatial primary suite has its own seating area and a vast, spa-like bathroom. The residence is topped with an impeccable, landscaped rooftop with plenty of room for relaxed outdoor dining and lounging, as well as an infinity-edge pool that seems to melt into the ocean.
If you feel compelled to venture out of your residence (and you should), residents and guests have access to a chic gym, private dining rooms, a sumptuous lounge with a wine library, a boardroom, and a 16,000-square-foot luxury spa and fine-dining restaurant. On-property chefs are available for in-residence dining. Not just that, but Seven Mile Beach is considered one of the Caribbean’s best beaches, prized for its super-soft sand and clear, calm waters that have a mesmerizing turquoise hue, and the capital city of George Town is a short drive away.
