Ghosts Sneak Peek: Jay’s Restaurant Opening Is Thwarted by Flower’s World-Ending News (Exclusive)

The long-awaited grand opening of Jay’s restaurant is finally here on this Thursday’s Ghosts — that is, if the end of the world doesn’t get in the way.

In TVLine’s exclusive sneak peek from the episode (airing at 8:30/7:30c on CBS), Jay is prepping to open the doors on Mahesh, but the food isn’t right, and the kitchen staff isn’t ready for the big day. Even Sam can’t reassure her hubby that the meat is meaty. And if that wasn’t bad enough, something Jay says sparks Flower to have a flashback of her cult leader foretelling that the world will end on — you guessed it — Feb. 13, 2025.

Flower urges Sam and Jay to get underground, but a nervous Jay doesn’t have the “time to deal with any Flower nonsense right now,” he declares, before storming off.

Looking ahead, next Thursday’s episode, “Ghostsfellas,” marks the directorial debut of series star Rose McIver. In the installment, “Jay angers a local restaurateur when he uses a recipe at his restaurant that was given to him by Pete,” per the official synopsis. So that’s a good sign that the world doesn’t come to a disastrous conclusion this week, but unfortunately, it seems Jay’s restaurant woes are far from over.
