The Genius Super Bowl Snack that Has Us Rushing Out to Buy Pringles

Super Bowl food has turned into a competition, and honestly, I’m here for the drama. Every year, someone rolls in with a dish like bacon-wrapped, cream cheese-stuffed, hot honey-drizzled jalapeño bites topped with a gold leaf garnish. Impressive? Sure. Necessary? Questionable. It feels like we’ve strayed a bit from the path of classic game-day eats and it makes me wonder if we really need truffle oil in our queso.

Sometimes, the best Super Bowl appetizers are the simplest ones. Give me a bowl of chips and a solid guac, and I’m happy. Pigs in a blanket? Perfection. Buffalo wings? Can’t go wrong. These are the MVPs of game-day spreads—no complicated ingredient lists, no multi-step recipes, just crowd-pleasing goodness. Bonus points if they’re easy to make and don’t require a post-game cleanup that feels like you hosted a party for 500 people.

Besides, the food is going to disappear in minutes, so do you really need to spend four hours making it? This year, I propose that we skip the over-the-top creations and stick to the classics—because sometimes less really is more.

Content creator Nicolle Laviolette (@convinoboard) shared this five-minute game day appetizer and I love how the simplest ingredients make some of the best food. This one is going on my menu!

Pringles and Cheese- Yes, Please!

"This is the easiest appetizer you can make for game day!" Nicolle said in the caption of her Instagram post. "This will be gone within minutes… so make TWO! THATS how good it is."

I am here for it!

To make this simple appetizer, you'll need Boursin cheese and Pringles. That's it! You can get the full recipe and some tips to make this appetizer on Nicolle's Instagram, but all you have to do is place your cheese on a platter, then starting from the bottom, stick the Pringles in it. Go layer by layer around the cheese and you'll end up with blooming Bousin cheese!

Not only is this cute, but it's also easy to do and there's no major cleanup involved. People just grab the chips and use them to scoop up the cheese—so simple!

We love that you can use any type of soft cheese or chip for this appetizer. If you like goat cheese, just form it into a thick round and add your chips. This would also be a fun thing to do with a cheese ball (sans toppings) in the center. You can't go wrong with a port wine cheese ball, but choose your favorite flavors and get creative.

On the chip side, Pringles make perfect petals but remember there are a variety of flavors. Sour cream and onion or maybe even pizza Pringles could be a really fun chip to try. And it's possible that something like nacho cheese Doritos might make a cool, modern-looking snack. It could have tiger lily vibes.

And you don't have to choose just one. You can mix and match several chips-and-cheese blooms and place them at various levels (on a platter, on a cake stand, etc.) to create a stunning, edible centerpiece, or add several types of blooming chips to one platter to look like a bouquet. It's delicious art!
