It's truly the best of both worlds.

With cooking and baking, the possibilities are endless. While the process itself can be a little bit troublesome at times (rest in peace, my burnt cookies), the end result is usually well worth the hassle. Delicious sweets, savory mains, or boozy cocktails—there are so many recipes to test out.

What comes after you master the basics? Combining two of your favorite foods, of course. Spaghetti tacos, chicken noodle casserole... the ideas are truly endless. This, of course, includes desserts. And one TikTok user has absolutely blown our minds away with her newest combination of two iconic sweet treats.

This Dessert Mashup Combines Tiramisu and Chocolate Chip Cookies

TikToker @brambleberryncream’s page is dedicated to showcasing her Frankenstein-esque dessert creations. Some of her highlights include chocolate chip cookie cheesecake, pineapple upside-down cheesecake, and key lime pie pop tarts. But one mashup caught my eye and immediately made my mouth water: chocolate chip cookies and tiramisu.

A traditional tiramisu is an Italian dessert with layers of whipped cream, mascarpone filling, and coffee-soaked ladyfingers. Bramble’s riff replaces the ladyfingers with premade chocolate chip cookies, thus creating a tiramisu and chocolate chip cookie hybrid that’s pure heaven. When sharing her creation on her page, the comments were filled with people astounded that they didn’t think of it first.

“Babe, this is a game changer,” one user wrote, with others exclaiming that they were going to be making it immediately. Others offered up their own cookie alternatives.

“I made tiramisu with vanilla wafers and thought it was mind blowing,” one user commented.

“I’ve always used chocolate-dipped biscotti in my tiramisu instead of ladyfingers,” another replied.

How to Make Chocolate Chip Cookie Tiramisu

According to Bramble's follow-up comment, simply start with your favorite tiramisu recipe. While she makes the cookie from premade cookie dough, I personally recommend going one convenient step further and buying your favorite soft-baked cookies, such as the ones from Trader Joe’s.

First, make the tiramisu according to your recipe, but omit the ladyfingers. You’ll make the filling, whipped cream, and the coffee mixture as usual. Next, instead of soaking ladyfingers, you'll dunk the chocolate chip cookies into the coffee mixture. Then, layer the components in the following order: cookie, filling, cream, and repeat. If you want to ensure that there are no gaps with your cookies when layered, put a cookie on top of the gaps or fill them in with mini chocolate chip cookies (Trader Joe’s also has them). Finally, dust with cocoa powder, top with whipped cream and a mini chocolate chip cookie, and chill until it's set.

I can’t wait to try this out and may even try some of the other cookie options recommended in the comments.
