Warnie puts mates before dates!

Are they or aren't they? That's the question that everyone's asking about Miranda Kerr and James Packer's rumoured romance.

And now it seems Shane Warne wants to know too.

During an interview with Kiis FM's Kyle and Jackie O this week, Miranda revealed that she would be open to a date with the cricket legend saying: "I would have to meet him before I made an opinion."

"I am not saying no... If you meet them and you have a connection or whatever it is... if you connect on some level. You have to be mentally stimulated, it's important for a woman", she added.

44-year-old Warnie seemed chuffed by the news when he stopped by the Triple M Hot Breakfast show, revealing that he'd be up for it on one condition: she's not dating his mate.

“That’s very nice of Miranda. She’s a lovely, absolutely beautiful lady.

“I’ll have to check with James to see what the situation is. Mates come first”, he said.

Rumours have been swirling that Miranda and the 46-year-old Billionaire have been enjoying a romance since their respective splits, so much so that a fight broke out between James and his good pal David Gyngell after he believed a Channel Nine news crew were parked outside his house, hoping to catch him out with the Aussie stunner.

Shane said he too is so far unclear of the pair's relationship status and "That’s why I have to check," he added.

Despite the 31-year-old model telling Sunday Style this week that "he's been a friend for many years" the rumours just wont go away.

The mother-of-one also added: "I'm not looking for anything too serious or to be in a relationship. I'm not ready, I'd rather just go on a date here and there."

This is also not the only love triangle Warnie has found himself in this week, with rumours also linking him to ex-wife Simone Callahan and Dannii Minogue.
