Julie Goodwin has signed on as a co-host of Star 104.5’s breakfast radio show, starting in 2016.

The former MasterChef winner will be taking to the airwaves alongside Dave “Rabbit” Rabbetts to co-host the Rabbit & Julie Goodwin breakfast show.

Goodwin is no stranger to the radio studio, as she's been a regular guest on the Central Coast station’s current breakfast show Craig & Rabbit for the past three months.

Rabbit's current co-host, Craig Annis, will be leaving the popular breakfast show on December 19, when the pair finish up for the year.

Taking to her Twitter page, Julie posted a promotional picture for her new show alongside the caption: "Looks like this bloke is stuck with me as brekky co-host full time next year! @RabsOnAir @star1045 #RabbitandJulie"

In a statement, the 45-year-old Central Coast local said it's a "real pinch me moment" to land such a dream job.

“I can’t even tell you how excited I am to be joining the team for breakfast at Star 104.5. It’s a real ‘pinch me, I’m dreaming’ moment for me, an unexpected privilege and bound to be a lot of fun. I love the guys and I can’t wait to get started!”

Her new co-host Rabbit shared the chef's sentiments, claiming he can finally put his awesome cooking puns to good use.

“I'm so stoked that we've been able to add Julie to the mix," he said.

"Finally, all these cooking puns I've had simmering can rise to the top. Julie and I have had stacks of laughs already, my wife has claimed her as a new 'best friend' and we just can't wait to get into it next year. So many fun times ahead.”

Julie Goodwin is the author of five cookbooks, is a regular on daytime TV and radio and also took place in last year's season of I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here.

The star also owns her own cooking school, Julie’s Place, on the Central Coast.
