Yahoo Lifestyle Florence Pugh debuts a baby pink buzzcut for summer
Florence Pugh has reestablished her status as a hairstyle chameleon, showcasing a brand new baby pink buzzcut in line with Valentino's Haute Couture Autumn Winter 2023 show in Chantilly, France.
The actress recently abandoned her blonde lengths after a string of intricate sculptural up-dos during award season, and a short-lived Scarface inspired bob, debuting a freshly buzzed head for this year's Met Gala red carpet in May.
While this playful pink take on the style is news to us, the look comes complete with a subtle root shadow and washed-out rose hue, implying the A Good Person star may have been secretly sporting the colour for some weeks. The jury is still out on how long this pretty-in-pink shade will last, however, but in the meantime, we have celebrity hairstylist Peter Lux to thank for its presence.
For the event, hosted at Chateau de Chantilly in France, the 27-year-old opted for sheer Valentino gown, milky blue in tone with a contrasting black bow at the back. The dress was reminiscent of the hot pink attire Pugh wore at the fashion house's couture show last summer in Rome, a similarly translucent garment that garnered equal attention.
Over on make-up, artist Alex Babsky created a monochromatic blush across Pugh's lips, cheeks and eyes; a feature-enhancing beauty look we can see being effortlessly replicable for summer and bridal season alike. The lipstick he used? Valentino Beauty's Liquirosso in the shade After Club, a unique cool toned peach shade suitable for all complexions.
Pugh is far from the first star to implement a playful pop of pink into her current beauty look. Greta Gerwig's upcoming Barbie film has seen Margot Robbie experiment with a joyful pink manicure; her two-tone tips designed by the South Korean nail artist, Ch. The AW23 catwalks also saw a revival of pastel pink lashes, with Gigi Hadid at the forefront of the Prada's whimsical runway look.
