First Look at Mariah Carey's Blinding 35-carat Engagement Ring
Following the news of Mariah Carey and James Packer’s engagement, the first thing everyone wanted to know wasn’t when the besotted pair were planning the big day - but what the ring looked like.
According to US Vogue, Packer, 48, proposed to Carey, 45, with a blinding emerald cut 35-carat diamond, flanked by baguettes in a platinum setting.

The blinding sparkler, which reportedly set Packer back approximately over $9.5 million – was created by Mariah's friend, jewellery designer Wilfredo Rosado.
"I wanted to give her something super sophisticated and something that took away all of the embellishments that a lot of people use when they design engagement rings these days," Rosado revealed to Vogue.
"But it is epic. It's an epic ring for an epic time in her life."
"I wanted to create the most gorgeous ring for my dear friend. But I also wanted to create the most stunning ring for one of the most iconic divas of our generation," he said.
