“Fight Night” trailer stars Kevin Hart as a hustler named Chicken Man caught up in an underworld heist

The limited drama series, also starring Samuel L. Jackson, Don Cheadle, Taraji P. Henson, and Terrence Howard, is "based on some s--- that really happened."

The story of Atlanta started with a hustle... and a guy known by the name of Chicken Man.

In the trailer for upcoming crime drama series Fight Night: The Million Dollar Heist, Kevin Hart becomes said Chicken Man, who is hellbent on clearing his name after he's suspected of being the mastermind behind an infamous heist.

The star-studded Peacock series is "based on some s--- that really happened," as the trailer tells us. Specifically, it's based on the acclaimed iHeart true-crime podcast of the same name, and follows "the infamous story of how an armed robbery on the night of Muhammad Ali’s historic 1970 comeback fight changed not only one man’s life but ultimately transformed Atlanta into the 'Black Mecca,'" the series' logline reads.

It continues, "When a hustler named Chicken Man (Hart) hosts an afterparty to celebrate the fight with a guest list of the country’s wealthiest, the night ends with the most brazen criminal underworld heist in Atlanta’s history."

In order to clear his name, Chicken Man must convince an old adversary, J.D. Hudson (Don Cheadle), of his innocence. Hudson was one of the first Black detectives in Atlanta's desegregated police force, who was tasked with solving the crime.

In addition to Hart and Cheadle, the series also stars Samuel L. Jackson as Frank Moten, Taraji P. Henson as Vivian Thomas, and Terrence Howard as Cadillac Richie. Key guest stars include Chloe Bailey (“Lena Mosley”), Marsha Stephanie Blake (“Delores Hudson”), Dexter Darden (“Muhammad Ali”), Lori Harvey (“Lola Falana”), and Sinqua Walls (“McKinley Rogers”).
