We Are Kindred Tell: ‘You Won’t See Any Black In Our Collection’

While this week’s media and street style stars have embraced black as a standard fashion week uniform, the designers of We Are Kindred are clearly wanting the industry to take a new direction.

Designers and sisters Lizzie and Georgie Renkert told Yahoo7's guest editor, Nikki Phillips, there was no black in their latest collection.

“It’s very feminine and ethereal - there’s lots of floral prints and embroidery,” explained Lizzie. “You won’t find any black in this collection!”

Instead, the designers have embraced a floaty, pretty aesthetic, with long flowing gowns and metallic printed shorts hitting the runway.
