Amal Clooney Steals The Show At Cannes

Everyone else might as well go home because Amal Clooney just made her Cannes Film Festival debut and she shut. it. down.

The Human Rights lawyer dazzled in a soft yellow silk chiffon gown Atelier Versace with a daring thigh-high split, ok and her husband George didn't look so bad either in his black tux.

The couple were all kinds of cute as they held hands, looked lovingly into each others eyes, and occasionally broke to share jokes with Julia Roberts.

George and Julia were there to promote their new film Money Monster which premiered at the film festival.

Speaking on the red carpet, George, who turned 55 last week, joked that he celebrated the day by "crying and drinking" as well as the rather unusual gift his wife gave him for his birthday last week.

"We have a beautiful front lawn at our house in England and I used to mow lawns when I was a kid," he told ET Canada.

"So she bought me this giant riding lawnmower that is sitting at the house right now and I’m very excited about putting that to work when I’m home."
