When Eva Longoria makes a promise, she makes sure she keeps it.

While in Sydney last summer, Eva made a comment about wanting to release her own clothing line and now it looks like it's all ready to go.

According to WWD, Eva's first first fully fledged clothing line for The Limited is set to drop into stores on August 15, with the collection available in 250 stores across the U.S. and online.

In an interview, Eva's told the publication that she's always had an eye for style and her own clothing line has always been a dream of hers.

"I learned to sew as a kid. All I wanted for Christmas was a Singer," she said.

"At first, all I could sew was straight lines — curtains, pillows, duvets.

"That's why I started my JCPenney home line. But if it had a sleeve or arm or leg, I was like, 'No.'

However her tune definitely changed when she started high school.

"When I was in high school, I would go to Jo-Ann Fabrics and get scrap fabric and patterns on sale to practice with," she said.

"That's how I learned to cut on the bias."

Eva's clothing line will feature two key categories - denim and bodycon dresses - along with peplum tops, dresses, jeggings and t-shirts with such sayings as "#winegoals."

The line will be created using strong fabrics, such as knits and bouclé, which are reported to make the price point 15 to 25 percent higher than usual.
