Cara Delevingne may be the darling of the fashion world, but the top model admits she initially had a few issues when it came to hitting the catwalk in high heels.

The 22-year-old British beauty revealed in a candid interview with W magazine’s ‘Screen Test’ that she struggled to strut her stuff in stilettos.

The solution?

To pretend she’s just indulged in some horizontal tango before sashaying down the runway.

“It took me so long to learn to walk in high heels it was a joke,” she says.

“When you first start walking you walk like you've never had sex, and then someone told me, I can't remember who it was, ‘walk like you're having sex and like you've had loads of sex’.”

In the interview, which sees her don a knitted Chanel beanie, the free-spirited supermodel reveals she used to love being naked as a child.

“It took me a long time to start wearing clothes, I used to love being naked.

“My parents would have to dress me because I'd just run around the supermarket and take off all my clothes. It was fun. Freedom. Liberation!”

The tattooed supermodel went on to reveal she suffers from the hereditary skin condition psoriasis, admitting she felt insecure around her model friends was treated differently because of her sensitive skin.

“After fashion week I had really bad psoriasis, just covered in red scabs.

“People in Milan would look at me like I was a leper and put on gloves and not want to touch me.”

Delevingne features on the cover of the October edition of W magazine.
