Robyn Lawley Slams Victoria's Secret Angels For Intense Eating Plans

Plus-size model Robyn Lawley has spoken out against the rigorous training routines and insane healthy eating plans Victoria's Secret models endure before the show.

The 26-year-old Australian beauty told Cosmopolitan she wouldn't be able to handle not eating for two weeks after Adriana Lima admitted she fasted for two weeks before appearing on the catwalk.

Lawley, who has posed for Vogue Italia, Marie Claire Ralph Lauren, and was the first plus-size model to appear in the Sports Illustrated swimwear issue said setting such unachievable goals is setting a bad example for young girls.

"Not eating for two weeks just so you look good in a show is not setting a good example to girls out there." she said.

“I remember Victoria’s Secret in the nineties; women had beautiful hips and curves, like Tyra Banks.

"Those were the women I looked up to and I feel like not including women of that size anymore is a really bad step on their part, but I don’t think they’re going to be changing.”

During the interview, Lawley also said she doesn't believe in fad diets and tries to eat like a European, with high-quality, local ingredients.

“Any kind of diet is bad if you’re really restrictive," she said.

I follow the mantra that the food quality has to be the most important thing and you should know where you’re getting your food, like is it sustainable and non-GMO?"

Lawley said it's important to fill her body with the right nutrients so she doesn't get hungry.
