She already has the same name as one of the biggest supermodels in the industry and now 17-year-old Gigi Cunningham, who has Down Syndrome, is set to make her mark in the modeling world.

The stunning brunette's dreams are finally all coming true after years spent being bullied at school.

Having posed for numerous fashion shoots, the brave teen is now set to walk the runway of the 2015 Be Beautiful Be Yourself fashion show in Denver and she's determined to change the perception of beauty in the fashion world.

Speaking to TheMighty.com she said: “Many doors will close and many will open.”

Her mother, Erica Butler, described her daughter's strength in dealing with bullies.

“Gigi understands that there are some cruel people in the world, but that you do not let that tear you down as a person,” she said.
