$38 'optical illusion' dress blowing up on TikTok: 'So confused'
An 'optical illusion' dress has sparked a storm on TikTok after it appears to completely cinch the waist of the woman wearing it in a video that's had millions of views.
An influencer named Jem, who posts on TikTok as @xojemian, shared the mind-boggling video last week, saying: "trying the viral waist illusion dress".
The video, which has been watched over 2.7 million times, was flooded with comments from people who initially couldn't work out what was going on.
"I cant stop watching this I'm so confused," one person admitted in the comments.
"When I tell you I GASPED," was another shocked response.

Others were so excited by the effect the dresses pattern and style created they had to know where the dress was from.
"Where is this from?!! I need this take all my money," was one comment.
And yes you can buy it!
The 'Mind Of My Own Maxi Dress' from Fashion Nova is currently on sale for $38, but is selling out fast.
As Jem pointed out in the comments however, fellow online retailer SHEIN has a very similar brush stroke dress for $26.95 and it comes in four different colour combinations.
