Farmer Wants a Wife stars reveal most 'challenging' part about the show: 'Just can't do it'

EXCLUSIVE: Dustin and Bert spilled all about their time on Farmer Wants A Wife.

Farmer Wants A Wife stars Dustin Manwaring and Bert Harris have revealed what they believe to have been the most challenging part about shooting the show, which wrapped in early December last year.

While the pair remained coy about which lucky lady they chose, they did open up about other things! Speaking to Yahoo Lifestyle, the two farmers revealed that it felt almost impossible to keep all of the girls happy during the experience.

"I think for me definitely – first of all pretty much the whole way through, but at the start, like five girls – where do you look? Like what do you do? Are you doing it wrong, are you doing it right? Is everyone happy?" Dustin tells us.

"It sounds silly, but trying to keep everybody [as] happy as you can, and because you don't want somebody missing out, and obviously people are going to miss out more than others, because things are happening with someone and then not with the other."

He continues, "Right at the start, I remember walking in, and I think it was on the first night or something that we were all there [the farm], and I'd cooked dinner and I was just like – I'm usually fine, and I was just trying to get out of there, I'm like, 'Nah, I just can't do it!'

"It was just a bit stressful! I don't usually get stressed, but felt stressed out and yeah, so I just needed to calm down a bit. But it was just because it was all so new and it was like, 'Who do I talk to, who I don't?' They're all looking at me, and it's just like, 'Oh, I dunno, this is awkward!'"

Bert agrees, telling us, "Yeah, definitely juggling all of that, you know, the first day I was pretty nervous. You walk into this place, where there's hundreds of people who know you, but you don't know any of them. You're trying to remember names, you're trying to remember all the girls' names and then the other farmers', so it's a lot going on, and then you're trying not to hurt anybody's feelings."

He adds that it's hard to know if you're doing the right thing, and even looking at one of the girls more than the others would stress him out.

Bert explains, "When you are just spending time in the house together, if it's something just like sitting next to each other on a couch, it's like, 'Are we sitting too close?' You know, someone walks past, and you catch eyes, and it might've just been something innocent, like you maybe giving comfort over something and you're like, 'Oh no, what have I done?'

"And then maybe [that] creates drama and you're just trying to, I guess, you know you're so busy on the farm, but trying to do this at the same time and trying to keep the drama to a minimum. It's very difficult."

Farmer Wants A Wife airs Sunday, Monday and Tuesday on 7 and 7Plus.
