Rumors around Rachael Ray’s health are circulating again. It all started earlier this week when the Food Network star shared a sneak peek of the upcoming Meals in Minutes episode.
In the video, Ray jokingly places two glass bowls on her head, before shouting, “Look, I'm Princess Leia!” Then, while carrying a tray of vegetables, she exclaims, “What the heck, Batman?”
Later in the episode, Ray joked about renaming fajitas to “fun-jitas” because they “make you want to have fun.” She adds: “They're easy, you can eat them with one hand, you can walk around while eating them. It's a good time.”
Fans quickly reacted in the comments, with some users claiming she seemed “drunk.”
“What happened to this lady?” one user questioned. Another fan chimed in, writing, “Praying for healing for you.”
“I'm actually surprised the network continues to have her,” a user wrote. “I hope she gets the help she needs.”
However, not every viewer shared this sentiment. One user said Ray is “living her life,” while another pointed out that she is just “having fun with [her] cooking.”
This isn't the first time fans have brought up Ray's health. Just a few months ago, viewers claimed the former cooking show host was slurring her words in an Instagram video. And prior to that, rumors circulated that she was undergoing throat surgery for cancer.
“Rachael is the picture of health,” Charlie Dougiello, Ray's representative, said in 2008, per The New York Post. “She is having very minor surgery to remove a benign cyst on her vocal cord. It’s a common in-and-out procedure that she will have in early December and it will not adversely affect any of her daytime show or Food Network tapings.”
While Ray hasn't addressed the recent concerns specifically, she did give fans a health update last October on her podcast, I’ll Sleep When I’m Dead. She revealed she had “a couple of bad falls in the last couple of weeks” and was avoiding household labor and other physical activities.
If Ray or her team comment on the controversy, we'll keep you posted. Stay tuned.
