Fans Say Miley Cyrus' Hair Looks 'Straight Out of 2008' During Rare Public Outing With Boyfriend

Miley Cyrus may sing that she "Used To Be Young," but her fans think she looks the same as she did 15 years ago.

After seeing the "Flowers" songstress revive one of her most memorable hairstyles while stepping out in public this week, fans were immediately taken back to pre-2010, when Cyrus was known for rocking long, brown layered locks.

Cyrus, now 31, was spotted out in Studio City, Los Angeles looking just like her old self. Wearing a red T-shirt and pair of black sunglasses, the former Disney Channel star could be seen with warm honey-brown hair that reached past her chest and was layered with wavy bangs in front of her face.

Cyrus was accompanied for the outing by her drummer boyfriend Maxx Morando, who she has been seeing since 2021. Morando, 25, appeared to be wearing a plain white tank top and a pair of black jeans for the outing.

But it was the "Angels Like You" singer who captured everyone's attention with her nostalgic style, making her fans online think the photo was "straight out of 2008."

"HOW IS THIS NOT 2008 MILEY???" wondered one stunned fan on X, while another person wrote, "i genuinely thought this was a candid shot from 07 omg."

Other fans compared Cyrus' hair to the same style worn during her Hannah Montana days, starring as the brunette Malibu resident Miley Stewart whose blonde alter-ego was a famous pop star.

"2008ley Miley Stewertly," one fan joked, while someone else quipped, "She looks like she's headed to a Party in the U.S.A."

"She looks like she's on her way to tell Nick Jonas the 7 things she hates about him," another fan wrote in reference to Cyrus' 2007 breakup with the Jonas brother, who is believed to have inspired her 2008 hit song, "7 Things."

"Wow, total throwback! She really nailed that 2008 look. It's like a blast from the past," someone else chimed in.
