Fans Say Joanna Gaines Hasn’t Aged ‘One Bit’ as She Shares Anniversary Throwback Photo With Husband Chip

Joanna Gaines shares a throwback photo with husband Chip in celebration of the couple’s 21-year wedding anniversary. Above, Chip and Joanna appear on ‘Today’ on Wed., May 29, 2024.

Fans said it looked like Joanna Gaines hadn’t aged as the Fixer Upper star shared a sweet throwback photo in celebration of her 21-year wedding anniversary.

Joanna shared the photo in a two-part Instagram carousel on Sat., June 1. The first photo included in the post showed Joanna and her husband, Chip Gaines, standing on a street during a recent visit to New York City. The second photo was a throwback image to a time 21 years earlier when the couple had posed for a picture together in Central Park while visiting Manhattan.

"Twenty One Years,” Joanna’s sweet tribute to her husband began. “You've always had a way of taking a thought or a quiet dream I've tucked away, and helped me step into it and make it a reality. What a journey, a wild and crazy (yet somehow peaceful) ride. So grateful to God for this life we get to share together.”

According to many fans who left comments on the post, the recent photo didn’t seem to reflect the two decades that had passed.

“Beautiful — but also can @joannagaines start giving tips on how to not age ONE.BIT.?” one fan wanted to know.

“Um, excuse me, but how do you not age??? 😂,” another fan wondered.

“You both literally haven’t aged a day ❤️ get old already lol xx,” one person joked as another fan complimented the couple, writing, “You both aged well. ❤️.”

The two TV personalities have starred on their show Fixer Upper and its various spin-offs since 2013. They now document their home renovation projects on their own Magnolia Network while raising their five children.

Joanna, 46, and Chip, 49, spoke about their marriage during an appearance on Today With Hoda and Jenna earlier this week in New York City. While speaking with co-hosts Hoda Kotb and Jenna Bush Hager, Joanna noted that they were celebrating their anniversary in their “favorite city,” with New York also previously serving as the location of their honeymoon.

After years of success with their home renovation shows, Kotb asked the couple how they define “success” nowadays. Chip explained that their family and ongoing connection with each other was the real success of their lives.

“For Jo and I, the fact that we’re married and we love each other after 21 years, like that’s really the thing,” he said. Though he said they both set goals and are excited about the ones they achieve, he believes he knows what they’ll be “most proud” of when they reflect on their lives years into the future.

“It’s just like us on the rocking chair in Waco, Texas—like as 80-year-olds, what are we the most proud of? And I would say that we’re going to be the most proud that we’re 80-year-olds still together on the rocking chair in Waco, Texas,” he said.
