Fans Express Serious Concern for Michael Jordan After Worrying New Photo

Michael Jordan was all smiles while on a recent outing in Monaco with his wife, Yvette Prieto, but fans couldn't help but focus on one specific worrying detail in the newly-surfaced photos of the basketball legend.

On Thursday, Sept. 19, X (formerly Twitter) account brfootball shared a snap of the six-time NBA champion as he enjoyed a soccer match.

"Michael Jordan is in the house for Monaco vs. Barcelona," the upload was captioned, with the addition of a goat emoji to represent the former pro basketball star, who is widely regarded as the G.O.A.T. (Greatest of All Time) when it comes to the sport.

In the photo, the retired athlete looked to be in the middle of a conversation with someone, as his mouth was slightly open while he displayed a smirking facial expression. He donned a black t-shirt and a matching version of his own Jordan brand cap, rocking his signature style of a hoop earring in one ear.

However, fans couldn't help but notice the color of the whites of his eyes (also called sclera), which appeared to be distinctly yellow.

Jordan's physical appearance immediately sparked concern, as fans took to the comment section to express their reactions to the photo.

"Does he have jaundice?" one asked.

According to Healthline, "yellowing of the eyes typically happens if you have jaundice," which "occurs when the oxygen-carrying components in the blood, called hemoglobin, break down into bilirubin and your body doesn’t clear the bilirubin."

"Yellowing of the eyes can occur if your liver, pancreas, or gallbladder isn’t working properly," the medical resource further adds.

On social media, supporters of the sports legend continued to add comments like "Check on that liver, Mike..." "I hope he’s ok," and "Liver check needed."

As of writing, the basketball icon has no known health conditions and has never publicly spoken out about the color of his eyes.
