Former Bachelor Matt James announced his breakup with Rachael Kirkconnell yesterday morning, via a prayer on Instagram. In case you missed it, Matt wrote "Father God, give Rachael and I strength to mend our broken hearts. Give us a peace about this decision to end our relationship that transcends worldly understanding. Shower our friends and family with kindness and love to comfort us. And remind us that our Joy comes from you, Lord 💔"
However the timing of the post has fans extremely confused due to Matt posting videos of himself and Rachael eating food in London mere hours earlier.
As one person pt it, "So you are eating 36' total pizza together and 12 hours later you are doing a break up press release?"
So...what's the deal? Matt hasn't explained himself, but Us Weekly notes that he "often shares travel and food content on a delay." In other words, he and Rachael likely aren't in London together going through a mid-vacation breakup.
Meanwhile, a source confirms to British tabloid The Sun that Matt and Rachael are “not together” and that "being, essentially, a social media couple, Matt has to continue posting all their pre-filmed content." The outlet also confirms that "Matt often shares videos after leaving a location for safety and privacy reasons."
