Fans Concerned for Keanu Reeves After Scary Moment In Indy Speedway Professional Racing Debut

Keanu Reeves excitedly made his professional racing debut on Saturday, Oct. 5, at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, finishing in 25th place after an intense race. But one moment of the race left fans concerned even after Reeves got off the race track, as the actor's vehicle spun out into the grass at the start of the race's second half.

Thankfully, Reeves didn't collide with any other drivers or barriers, smoothly re-entering the race after making it clear that he wasn't injured, as reported by the Associated Press. He finished 25th but got as high as 21st place at one point, and he is set to race again on Sunday, Oct. 6.

Despite Reeves appearing confident and collected after the incident, fans were concerned about him and wondering if he was alright. In response to DiscussingFilm's post about Reeves' race, one fan wrote, "I hope he’s okay."

"Very scary spin, had that been on a different track with the same corner it would've hurt," wrote a fan highlighting how lucky Reeves was, while someone else said, "All jokes aside if anything ever happen to this man check on me FR."

Many more fans praised the actor and equated him to his iconic film character John Wick, with comments like, "training for racing your whole life and suddenly John Wick is in your race," and "that's so cool! 😍 i love keanu, he's like a real-life action hero."

"If I knew my opponent was John Wick, I’d pull over immediately 🤣," joked another.

Reeves has always been very open about his love for cars and motorcycles, and the actor and his longtime girlfriend Alexandra Grant made a rare public appearance earlier this year to attend a motorcycle race in Germany.
