Fans Have Big Reactions to Lainey Wilson's NFL Halftime Performance

Just a little over a week after hosting the 2024 CMA Awards, "Watermelon Moonshine" singer Lainey Wilson performed the halftime show when the Dallas Cowboys played against the New York Giants on Thanksgiving Day—and fans are saying her next stop should be the Super Bowl.

Dressed all in white—including her cowboy hat—Wilson opened the show with her hit track "Heart Like a Truck" before she was joined by Jelly Roll to perform their popular duet, "Save Me."

Wilson even got a little help from the Dallas Cowboys cheerleaders, who took the role of backup dancers for the energetic spectacle.

Football and country music fans alike took to X to rave about Wilson's stage presence, with some wishing she could replace Kendrick Lamar as the entertainment at the Super Bowl halftime show in February 2025.

"Why can't Lainey Wilson & Jelly Roll be the Super Bowl halftime show instead of Kendrick Lamar?" one X user wanted to know.

"She did a fantastic job! This is what halftime shows should be like. Good family entertainment," agreed another person.

"It was a 10 out of 10. Lainey was perfect and so upbeat. The Jelly Roll surprise was just icing on the cake," raved somebody else.

"Love Lainey and knew (without truly knowing) that Jelly Roll would be there w/her. They have developed a real 'connection', and where there's one, there's the other. I have had the honor of seeing 'Daddy' (aka Jelly Roll) in person but never Lainey Fantastic to see !" gushed a fourth commenter.
