Put eight housewives on a plane to Thailand, leave them to their own devices, and there’s bound to be some serious drama. Season 3 of The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip might be set in paradise but it’s certainly not all smooth sailing.

Who’s in it?

Big characters make must-see TV, and if the season three cast is anything to go by, it means every episode will be a cracker. Hopping on the plane together are Candiace Dillard Bassett and Gizelle Bryant of The Real Housewives of Potomac, Alexia Nepola and Marysol Patton of The Real Housewives of Miami, Heather Gay and Whitney Rose of The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City, Leah McSweeney of The Real Housewives of New York City and Porsha Williams The Real Housewives of Atlanta. With that mix there’s bound to be fireworks.

What can I expect to see?

Luxury: It wouldn’t be Real Housewives without glamorous outfits and excessive spending. Expect to see the women on a super yacht, an all-out shopping trip, and squeezing in some pamper time with Thai massages that don’t go quite to plan.

Local scenery: The ladies are staying at a stunning villa nestled in lush Thai gardens. They visit an elephant sanctuary, ride a TukTuk, and show off plenty of Thai tourism options that might inspire your next holiday.

Drama: Eight high-octane housewives in paradise; what could possibly go wrong? A fair bit actually. One housewife ends up in a hospital bed, and another accuses a fellow housewife of trying to get her arrested. One thing’s for sure, there’s never a dull moment.

Friendship fallouts: Heather Gay and Whitney Rose started their Salt Lake City show as mates, but ended up as enemies – despite also being cousins. We can expect to see their beef with each other spill over into their Thailand holiday.

Candiace Dillard Bassett and Gizelle Bryant of Potomac used to be besties – and it appears Gizelle can’t forget what she once did for Candiace. “You’re acting like I didn’t ride for you, and I did,” she yells in one scene.

Candiace gives as good she gets during the season. She has no qualms in pointing out that Porsha Williams left Real Housewives of Atlanta after getting engaged to the ex-husband of her co-star, Falynn Guobadia. “Y’all became friends, and two minutes later you and her husband was dating,” she asserts. “You stole somebody’s man!”

Alexia Nepola and Marysol Patton from Miami have been close friends for years; can they get through an intense girls trip without anything coming between them? Watch this space...

When can I watch it?

The third season of The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip will be available to stream exclusively on Hayu from March 24, the same day it airs in the USA. You’ll be able to watch the first three episodes all at once, then additional episodes will drop each Friday. Plus, they’re all totally ad-free.
