Emma Roberts granted restraining order after disturbing incident with home intruder

Emma Roberts has successfully obtained a permanent restraining order to safeguard herself and her 3-year-old son from a man she claims broke into her home and made a disturbing phone call.

On Thursday, a judge granted the order that requires Melvin Jeffery Conley, 32, to stay 100 yards away from Roberts and her son for the next five years, according to legal documents obtained by TMZ.

The 33-year-old actress claims Conley entered her Los Angeles home in May when she wasn’t there and used her landline to call her cell.

When Roberts saw she missed the call, she assumed it was a relative trying to contact her. She called back, only to find Conley on the other end.

Conley allegedly said she had given him permission to stay in her home, which Roberts firmly denies. She also claims she had locked and secured her residence prior to leaving California for her trip.

The “American Horror Story” star says that Conley also mentioned her 3-year-old son by name during their interaction, and that she later received an unsettling text message from him. She says she’s now living in fear that he’ll try to reenter her home, and is concerned about his intentions.

In addition to keeping his distance from the mother and son, Conley is also required to stay 100 yards away from Roberts’ workplace and her son’s school.
