Elton John Shares Snap of Son Zachary's Birthday Cake as They Celebrate Him Turning 14: 'So Beautiful'

Elton John is celebrating his older son's birthday!

On Wednesday, Jan. 1, the singer, 77, shared a carousel of photos on his Instagram from his holiday season, which included a picture of his son Zachary's birthday cake. The cake was piped with blue frosting and read "Happy Birthday Zachary" in blue across the top, featuring rainbow sprinkles and striped candles that honored the newly minted 14-year-old.

"Random holiday photo dump 📸🎅🏻🎄 From the Rocket Team Christmas lunch to Zachary’s birthday. We’ve been relaaaaaaxing and taking it easy. So beautiful 😍🙏🏻," John wrote in his caption.

"Here’s hoping everyone enjoyed a peaceful and joyous holiday season with family and friends. See you in 2025 🚀❤️ Love, E xx."

The icon shares his sons Zachary and Elijah, 11, with husband David Furnish.

In December, the "Goodbye Yellow Brick Road" singer was honored as TIME's Icon of the Year and interviewed, alongside husband Furnish, by the outlet. In the article, Furnish, 62, explained why the couple chooses not to homeschool their two sons.

"We deliberately didn't homeschool our children because we want them to be their own people and to define life as they want to be defined," Furnish said.

Last January, John and Furnish shared a sweet photo in a joint Instagram post in celebration of their son Elijah's 11th birthday. The photo showed a white birthday cake decorated with stars, candles and sprinkles with the message "Happy Birthday Elijah" written across the top in red.

"Happy Birthday to our beautiful son Elijah. Can’t believe you’re 11!" the couple wrote. "You fill our hearts with so much love and laughter. We love you. Papa and Daddy xo."
