Yahoo Lifestyle Elsbeth Offers Update on Her Romance With Angus — and When They Might See Each Other Again

The just-renewed CBS procedural last week had many viewers’ hearts a-fluttering, as its titular sleuth formed a most unexpected connection with a Scottish musician/fireman named Angus — by way of an “Iris” art installation that allowed the people of his quaint town to peek in on bustling New York City, and vice versa.
Angus (played by Ioan Gruffudd) was able to assist Elsbeth with her murder case last week, to a degree that the NYPD consultant landed in the killer’s crosshairs. Worried, Angus tracked down and alerted Elsbeth’s NYPD pals, quite possibly saving her from harm. That night, Angus himself surfaced at the New York side of the Iris, to serenade his new lady friend — after which they shared a very warm kiss.
Skip ahead one week later… and Elsbeth offered a quick update on her, Angus… and when they might see each other again.
Early in this week’s episode, Elsbeth invited Kaya, Teddy (and Roy), Captain Wagner, Det. Donnelly and Lt. Connor over to her place for dinner, saying, “It will help me get over my missing Angus.
“It was a whirlwind romance,” she sighed, bittersweetly, “but he had to go back to his life in Scotland. We’ll see each other again when the time is right.”
Yeah, sorta like Brigadoon, Lt. Connor. Sorta.
Elsbeth front woman Carrie Preston told TVLine last week that when it comes to Angus, “Let’s just say that Elsbeth hasn’t forgotten about him.” She added that while Elsbeth has “a lot on her plate,” “is looking to reinvent herself” and is “enjoying having this time to herself with her dog,” Angus “definitely charmed her, and she’s hanging onto that memory in an enticing way.”
