Elle Fanning Takes Fans Inside Her Christmas Celebrations with Sister Dakota: See Their Custom Stockings and More!

Elle and Dakota Fanning are celebrating the holidays in style!

The A Complete Unknown star, 26, shared a glimpse at their family’s celebrations, which included a silver tinsel Christmas tree and bedazzled red Christmas stockings.

In a series of photos posted on her Instagram Stories, Elle showed a look at the Fanning family’s Christmas tree, which was decorated with heaps of silver tinsel, yellow string lights and red floating candles. To match the tree, the family wrapped their gifts in white wrapping paper with bright red bows.

She also snapped a picture of the family’s Christmas stockings, which had slightly different decorated patches and jewels.

Elle’s stocking featured a red and green bedazzled snowman with a blue rocking horse, Christmas tree and french horn. Meanwhile Dakota’s had a pink bedazzled snowman with pink bedazzled ballet shoes and what appeared to be a yellow and green bird.

As for what gifts could be inside the stockings, Elle shared with E! News that she has an annual tradition of gifting her family ornaments every year. She explained, “I’ve done that since I was like four, like a silly something… a funny thing that has to do with that year.”

She also participates in Christmas Eve dinner, saying, “I always make pasta and like eggplant Parmesan. I don’t know if that’s super traditional Italian, but our Italian.”

The Great alum told the outlet that she was celebrating the holidays with her sister and the rest of their family in L.A. Part of the tradition included dressing up in pajamas and playing some fun games at home.

Video captured by a friend and shared to Instagram showed the acting sisters’ playing the “holiday tea light challenge,” in which they attempted to blow out a row of candles with their breath by saying “Merry Christmas.”

Dakota could be seen only blowing out a few candles with her attempts, while Elle was slightly more successful, blowing out nearly half of the candles with her try.

The video was captioned: “Best idea @dakotafanning has ever had was to play this game at our holiday party 😂😂😂.”
