Elizabeth Olsen Is 'Happy to Come Back' to Marvel Movies Under This One Condition
"It's a character that I love going back to when there’s a way to use her well," said the actress
Elizabeth Olsen is keeping the door open to returning to the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
The actress has played Wanda Maximoff, a.k.a. the Scarlet Witch, in the blockbuster film and television series since 2015's Avengers: Age of Ultron. Her last appearance as the character came in 2022's Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.
While promoting her new drama film His Three Daughters along costar Carrie Coon on the Dublin radio outlet FM104, Olsen said she's down to reprise the fan-favorite role.
"It's a character that I love going back to when there’s a way to use her well, and I think I have been lucky that when I started I was used well within Age of Ultron. And then, I think people didn’t know what to do with me for a second there," said Olsen.

But, "then they were able to utilize the character well in interesting ways of telling stories in ways they hadn't yet," she said of her role, which was expanded in the MCU's first Disney+ show WandaVision and earned Olsen an Emmy nomination.
The actress added, "So if there’s a good way to use her I’m always happy to come back, however they can make that make sense."

Kevin Feige, president of Marvel Studios, teased Wanda's future back in 2022 when he told Variety, "There really is so much more to explore. We still haven’t touched on many of her core storylines from the comics."
“I’d work with Lizzie for another 100 years if we could,” he added at the time. "Anything’s possible in the multiverse. We’ll have to see."
His Three Daughters is in select theaters Sept. 6, then on Netflix Sept. 20.
