Elizabeth Banks pleads her case to be on “The White Lotus”: 'I want to be murdered so badly'

"Please, kill me," the actress implored her pal Mike White.

Attention, Mike White: Elizabeth Banks really wants to check into — and be murdered at — a White Lotus resort.

The actress and director stopped by Live With Kelly and Mark on Friday to promote her upcoming animated feature Migration, which was written by White, who also created The White Lotus. Banks revealed that the making of the movie overlapped with White's time on the first two seasons of his HBO hit, and she then took the opportunity to plead for her pal to cast her in an upcoming season.

"I want to be murdered so badly on The White Lotus," she said. "Kill me. Please, kill me." She implored hosts Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos to convince White after they said she had to appear. "Tell him!"

"Everybody knows that we're Mike White's favorite talk show," Ripa said. "Mike White, please put your friend Elizabeth Banks in White Lotus season 3 or 4. We'll take either one."

The White Lotus follows the exploits of dysfunctional guests and employees of the fictional luxury White Lotus resort chain over the course of a week. Fan favorite Natasha Rothwell — who played spa manager Belinda, who was strung along by Jennifer Coolidge's now-deceased Tanya in 2021's debut season — will return for the highly anticipated season 3, which is believed to be set in Thailand after the first two season's respective Hawaii and Italy locales.

Not much else is known about season 3, but White has teased that it will offer a satirical look at "death and Eastern religion and spirituality." He also told EW last month that it would be a "supersized" season.

"It's going to be longer, bigger, crazier," he said. "I don't know what people will think, but I am super-excited, so at least for my own barometer, that's a good thing."
