Eli Tomac Shares Injury Status and Potential Return Timeline
In a recent update, 4X AMA Pro Motocross 450MX Champion and 2X Monster Energy AMA Supercross 450SX Champion Eli Tomac of Monster Energy Yamaha Star Racing shared news about his thumb injury and a possible return to the AMA Pro Motocross series this summer.
During free practice at the Denver Supercross, Eli Tomac suffered a crash that resulted in a Bennett fracture and torn ligaments in his thumb, necessitating surgery to stabilize the injury. Consequently, he missed the final Monster Energy Supercross round of the year in Salt Lake City and has been absent from the Pro Motocross rounds this summer due to the injury.
Over two months post-surgery, Tomac will be back on the bike today (Monday), having built confidence and strength in his thumb following the removal of pins. While his return date is still TBD, he aims for "around Budds Creek." Are you excited to see ET3 back on the track soon?
