Duchess of Cambridge wears recycled boots she's had for 14 years

The Duchess of Cambridge made a fashionable return from maternity leave overnight with a trip to Sayers Croft Forest School and Wildlife Garden in Paddington, UK.

For her first royal engagement since welcoming Prince Louis on April 23rd, Kate dressed appropriately for the great outdoors.

Proving she’s a fan of the high street, the Duchess recycled her go-to biker jeans by Zara and couldn’t resist her trusty $860AUD Penelope Chilvers tassel boots.

Sadly, the jeans have long sold out after the royal was first photographed in the cult garment back in 2016 for a trip to Kaziranga National Park in India.

Her boots on the other hand are a permanent fixture in the Duchess’ Kensington Palace covetable wardrobe. The Duchess of Cambridge was first spotted in them back in June 2004 for the Festival of British Eventing and has since worn them on countless engagements.

The 36-year-old finished the autumn-ready look with a $310 khaki-hued jacket by Fjällrävennd and a co-ordinating knit.

She also stepped out with a slightly new hairstyle.

“Kate is sporting a shorter, straighter, slightly more tousled hairstyle today,” royal correspondent Rebecca English stated.

It’s also interesting to note that Kate appears to be sporting a post-holiday glow with rumours circulating that she enjoyed a recent getaway with husband Prince William and their three children: Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis.

The London-based charity project is designed to enable inner city children with a physical, social or financial disadvantage to take part in outdoor learning exercises.

Kate really got a chance to show off her maternal side as she joined children at Sayers Croft Forest School in Paddington Recreation Ground in a range of activities to learn more about how the programme is helping the school pupils’ emotional and physical wellbeing.

She joined pupils aged four to five, from St Augustine’s CoE primary school as they learned about nature and took part in some gardening activities – and there were plenty of hugs for the Duchess.

Kate also joined pupils from St Stephen’s School as they made leaf crowns and listened to the Monkey Queen during storytime – and showed, like Meghan Markle, just how comfortable she is interacting with children.

Although the Duchess has appeared at other public events this summer, including Trooping the Colour, the RAF Centenary and Wimbledon, this is her first official duty since having Prince Louis.
