Drink bottle sold at Big W recalled

A drink bottle sold at Big W stores across the country has been recalled over choking fears.

The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission issued the recall notice for the Brilliant Basics 1L Sipper Drink Bottle on Thursday.

The recall was made due to the silicone sipper not being attached securely.

“It can become loose or detached,” the notice said.

“There is a risk of choking, suffocation or death to young children if they put the detached sipper into their mouth.”

The bottles of concern are blue with green lid, green with orange lid and pink with purple lid.

“Customers should immediately stop using the drinking bottle and return to any BIG W store for a full refund,” the notice said.
