The season 16 premiere of The Real Housewives of Atlanta ended on a bombshell, with Drew Sidora being asked straight out if she's dating costar Porsha Williams’ ex fiancé Dennis McKinley.

It was a question posed by Shamea Morton, but one that fans were asking themselves ever since Sidora revealed earlier in the episode that she had been working with McKinley on new music.

"I’m very grateful for Dennis and who he has been in my life," Sidora, 39, told pal Kenya Moore in the episode that aired on Sunday, March 9, noting McKinley showed up "as my angel on earth" while she was at her lowest point in her split from estranged husband Ralph Pittman.

"Literally there were days I couldn’t get out the bed, crying, but because I knew I had a session, I would get there," she said. "He was my saving grace when I was going through all I was going through at the time."

Their bond was fine with Williams, according to Sidora.

"It was all good," the mother of three said, explaining she had given Williams — who shares daughter Pilar Jhena McKinley, 6 this month, with McKinley — a heads up before they started working together. "He’s a very stand-up guy who wants to be there for his daughter. He’s like, ‘Look, this music is going to help me pay for my daughter’s college.’ We’re all on the same team."

But Williams didn't appear to be on the same team with Sidora, after all.

"Where’s my jaw? Is my jaw on the floor or is it still on my face?" she said, after learning through Morton that the two had allegedly been spotted holding hands in the club.

"Drew... is somebody I supported and considered a friend," Williams added in a confessional. "Even right now, Drew’s an influencer for my company. But all of this behind-the-scenes bulls---, sneaking around with my child’s father? To me, that is just crossing the line."

Williams, 43, and McKinley, 48, first met in 2017. They got engaged in September 2018, a year into their relationship and just two months after she learned she was expecting, and later broke up when she found out he cheated on her while she was pregnant. At the time Williams learned of McKinley’s infidelity, Pilar Jhena was only 3 months old.

But the breakup didn't keep them apart. During a December 2019 appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, Williams revealed the pair were ready to walk down the aisle again, announcing that they were "re-engaged."

“We’re working on our family. It takes time,” Williams said when asked if she trusted McKinley again. “I love him and he loves me and we’re doing what’s best for our family. That’s really all you can do."

"You have to have trust,” she added, stressing that they were “absolutely” working to rebuild that.

Ultimately, Williams and McKinley decided to go their separate ways in 2020. They've remained active and amicable co-parents since then, especially amid Williams' marriage to Simon Guobadia (those two tied the knot in November 2022 after a year of dating, but are now are amid a contentious divorce).

Meanwhile, Sidora's own divorce to estranged husband Ralph Pittman is still ongoing.

The former couple separated in February 2023 after eight years of marriage, each filing for divorce within an hour of one another the following month. They have lobbied contentious claims in a legal back and forth since, which — in addition to overall court date schedules — is part of the reason the process has been delayed, Sidora previously told PEOPLE.

"It’s disheartening," Sidora said on Sunday's RHOA premiere. "I would have hoped that Ralph and I could have mediated on our own, but kind of the reason we are going through a divorce is because we couldn’t ever agree on anything."

Amid the litigation, Pittman, 42, is living in the basement of their marital home. He was ordered to move down there by a judge, though the location has only made things weirder between Sidora and him. "Ralph being banished to the basement, I was expecting him to take that opportunity to move out and do the things that really exciting him, which is being out in the streets," Sidora said.

She went on to explain that Pittman has his own entrance to the ground floor space and that she can't go down there without permission. Sidora also has to vacate the home entirely every first, third and fifth weekend, she said.

Meanwhile all communication for co-parenting, Sidora said, goes through an app that the judge can see and use as evidence. "He likes to go in the app and fight," claimed Sidora. "He likes to go in there and be petty in the app and I would love to type a couple of middle finger emojis but the judge can see everything so I’ll let the judge decide."

"Our divorce is dramatic," she admitted. "It’s a roller coaster, it’s a s---show."

As for what exactly is happening between Sidora and McKinley, viewers will have to wait to see. In the preview for the season, Williams could be seen questioning McKinley about it, too.

For what it's worth, Sidora did say on Sunday's premiere that she's not yet started dating. "I have people that are showing interest, but I feel like I have to put a dot and a period on this situation because I feel like there is a lot going on," she said.

And McKinley? Well, he seems to have no problem with the ladies, with new Housewives Brittany Eady and Kelli Ferrell both admitting that they'd had interactions with McKinley in the past. According to the pair, the hot dog restauranteur previously went on a date with Eady and, allegedly, once slid into Ferrell's DMs.

The Real Housewives of Atlanta airs Sundays (8 p.m. ET) on Bravo. Episodes stream the next day on Peacock.
