A Drama Queen Gets Blindsided! Who Went Home on ‘The Bachelor’ 2025 Tonight?
Grant Ellis had his hands full with one beautiful contestant’s meltdown on tonight’s episode 5 of The Bachelor.
The midpoint of season 29 of the ABC reality show proved to be dramatic, as Carolina didn’t want to share the hunk with the other women.
“I guess I’m crazy and evil,” Carolina told cameras after an argument with Dina over her pouting attitude on a group date.
The episode began with seven ladies remaining, and the scene changing to rainy Edinburgh, Scotland. But there was no comfort to be found for the ladies by their rustic hotel hearth as Grant whittled down his group to the final four for next week’s hometowns episode! Read on for our spoiler-filled recap to find out more.
Who went home on The Bachelor 2025 tonight?
Carolina finally reached the end of the line after a season of controversy. The 28-year-old public relations producer from Guaynabo, Puerto Rico broke down during the episode. While Grant talked it out with her, it was no surprise he ultimately eliminated the emotional beauty.
“It’s very disappointing…I feel blindsided,” Carolina sobbed as she left the show.
Alexe, 27, a pediatric speech therapist from New Brunswick, Canada, was an early front-runner who brought her llama to The Bachelor. While she clicked with Grant on their one-on-one date at a mall, Alexe couldn’t keep the momentum. Upon her elimination at the rose ceremony, she cried to cameras, “It hurts!” But she graciously added, “I’m just happy he’s finding the right person for him.”
Sarafiena, 29, an associate media director from New York, N.Y., had comforted Grant through a date in which they jumped off a bridge in Spain but he developed stronger connections.
“I cared so much about him,” Sarafiena lamented as she departed. “I don’t know what happened.”
Who got the first one-on-one date on The Bachelor 2025 tonight?
Host Jesse Palmer told the women that Grant wouldn’t be awarding any roses on the dates this week, which would be two one-on-ones and one group. Juliana got the first private date, and she took a helicopter with the handsome day trader to a Scottish castle where she donned a gown and he wore a kilt! They did a Bridgerton-style ballroom dance with locals, and Grant gifted Juliana a necklace.
“I feel like literally a princess,” she noted.
But during their dinner, Juliana wanted Grant to know about how her cheerful exterior masked trouble in her past.
“I’m not always this happy, bubbly, excited person,” she explained.
Juliana revealed to Grant that someone close to her had suffered a problem with addiction. She didn't identify who exactly that was, but told him, “I’m afraid of the darkness that I saw.”
Grant strongly related to her story, as his father had struggled for years with addiction. “It makes me want to be there for you,” he told Juliana.
The Bachelor star suggested they could repair each other! In confessional, he said, “She’s exactly what I’m looking for.”

Who went on the group date on The Bachelor 2025 tonight?
Sarafiena, Alexe, Carolina, Dina and Zoe mixed with Scottish locals at a festival featuring food, dance, and music. Zoe was upset that she was the only one who hadn’t received a one-on-one date with Grant, but made the best of things.
On the other hand, standoffish Carolina couldn’t hide her dismay at being with the others and sat apart from them.
“I obviously have doubts. I feel like this is going to end bad for me,” Carolina told cameras.
Grant took her aside for a talk and said, “I don’t know if you want to be here.” After she expressed insecurity, Grant claimed he wanted to put things behind them. Carolina felt better after her kiss and cry.
But the other ladies were livid she’d stolen Grant’s time from them. At the cocktail party, Grant assured Zoe, “You leave me wanting more.”
What happened between Carolina and Dina on The Bachelor 2025 tonight?
At the hotel, Carolina felt the others were making comments about her while she sat with them. Dina pointed out to Carolina that she’d defended her the previous week, but now felt her rival was acting like “a damsel in distress” to monopolize Grant’s attention.
After she called Carolina ungrateful, Carolina got up and tried to leave. Dina followed her and raged, “You don’t care about anyone’s feelings but your own.” Carolina walked up the stairs to talk to Grant, which Dina called “crazy.”
Making her play, Carolina told Grant she’d be proud to take him on a hometown visit. Separately, however, Dina tattled to Grant that Carolina was causing problems. Then he sighed in confessional that he was doubting Carolina.
Who went on the second one-on-one date on The Bachelor 2025 tonight?
Litia, who previously had a one-on-one date with Grant, was thrilled to get a second one. They explored Edinburgh, eating haggis, drinking whiskey, and “tying the knot” in Scottish tradition. Budding musician Grant also tried to play bagpipes!
Grant appreciated her “nurturing spirit,” and over dinner, Litia revealed her Mormon faith.
“I’ve typically only dated people in my same religion,” she told him.
Grant was surprised but told her his own Christian faith was also very important to him. (In fact, Grant revealed to Parade in an exclusive interview that he brought his Bible with him to The Bachelor shoot).
Although he didn’t know anything about the Mormon faith, he thought Litia was worth any adjustments. Upon learning about Grant’s troubled family background, Litia wiped his tears away.
“I’m falling for you,” he said.
In confessional, Litia confirmed she felt the same way.
