'Downton Abbey' Star in "Extreme Distress" Following Sex Tape Leak

Explicit photos and videos belonging to Jessica Findlay Brown have surfaced following one of the biggest celebrity phone hacks of all time.

The British actress, who played Lady Sybil on the UK drama series Downtown Abbey, is one of the alleged 101 stars whose private photos have been leaked as a result of an Apple iCloud hack.

Jessica's lawyers have released a statement stating that the actress has suffered "extreme distress and embarrassment" following the violation of her privacy. Furthermore, the 24-year-old star "is not making any comment because it’s a criminal investigation," according to her spokesperson.

Nude photos of Jessica along with a handful of other A-listers including Jennifer Lawrence, Kirsten Dunst, and Kate Upton showed up on the image-based website 4chan on Sunday.

A video showing Jessica engaging in a sexual act with an unidentified male surfaced shortly after. Google has landed itself in hot water for serving said video to its searchers. The link was eventually removed, but it had already been up for eight hours. "Searches for ‘Jessica Brown Findlay’ no longer deliver the video on the front page, which should limit its exposure," said Google's spokesperson in a statement.

Meanwhile, the same hacker also claims to be in possession of an R-rated video of Jennifer Lawrence, which he says he will post online in exchange for Paypal donations.

Apple has come out and denied any general security breach of their iCloud and Find My iPhone systems. However, the tech company did note that the violation most likely came about as a result of the violation of the celebrities' usernames and passwords.

Apple's statement following Sunday's incident read, "After more than 40 hours of investigation, we have discovered that certain celebrity accounts were compromised by a very targeted attack on user names, passwords and security questions, a practice that has become all too common on the Internet.

"None of the cases we have investigated has resulted from any breach in any of Apple’s systems including iCloud or Find my iPhone. We are continuing to work with law enforcement to help identify the criminals involved."
