Doritos Fans are Saying, 'Sign Me Up' for a Taste of ‘Exciting’ and Unexpected New Collab

When it comes to the wondrous and expansive world of chips, there are few brands more iconic than Doritos. Forgoing the typical and decidedly cheaper potato in favor of a flavor-blasted, triangular-shaped corn tortilla is the secret sauce that’s kept Doritos top of mind for fans craving a zestier, more exhilarating snack option. And they continue to double down.

Unveiled to the world in 1966, Doritos became the first tortilla chip available nationally in the United States, and simply offered a plain toasted corn option. These days, finding a bag of Doritos sans flavor dust would be like finding an Oreo without the creme filling (although you can find both if you know where to look).

Flavors like Golden Sriracha, Spicy Tropical Fusion and even Ketchup and Mustard are more commonplace offerings these days, but true Doritos fans will always have a soft spot for the OG flavor lineup. Nacho Cheese and Cool Ranch are arguably the most recognizable SKUs in the ever-expanding Doritos family or flavors, and beyond the expected chip form, the iconic duo has found its way onto taco shells, Papadias and even Smartfood Popcorn. But, of course, the brand that forever changed the chip game has yet another delectable collab on the market, and fans are saying, “Sign me up!”

Making their foray into the snack-eating zeitgeist, @markie_devo shared news that Rold Gold x Doritos Select Twists in the iconic Cool Ranch flavor are hitting shelves soon, and our mouths are watering. Bags of Rold Gold’s oven-baked Pretzel Twists get a flavor boost from Doritos zesty cool ranch powder, creating an insanely delicious snack that fans are excited to get their hands on. In addition to the delectable pretzel upgrade, Doritos also brought back their Late Night Sizzlin’ Cheeseburger Flavor, which prompted strong reactions from snacking aficionados.

“Those cheeseburger Doritos are gross!” said one fan citing the overwhelming taste of mustard and pickle. “I’m down for both!” juxtaposed another excited shopper.

Despite the mixed reactions, most shoppers can’t wait to get a taste of the Rold Gold Cool Ranch Flavored Pretzel Twists, which are available in stores and on Amazon right now. If you’re looking for even more cool ranch flavor, we suggest dunking them in Doritos Cool Ranch Jalapeño Dip.
