Donna Kelce Reveals Son Travis' Surprising Reaction to Her Acting Debut
Travis Kelce is one busy guy—a fact made even more obvious by his reaction to learning that his mom, Donna Kelce, has a few new projects of her own she's working on these days.
The NFL mom is set to make her acting debut this year, appearing in two Hallmark Christmas movies for the holidays, but apparently, her son wasn't even aware that he and his mother are currently on similar paths.
The Kansas City Chiefs tight end, who has been seizing new opportunities lately with a handful of exciting gigs, was in the dark about Donna's career opportunities.
At the red carpet premiere event for Grotesquerie—the brand new FX thriller series the pro footballer snagged a role in—Donna was asked if Travis had any advice for her when it came to acting.
"No, I don't even think he knew I was doing it," she surprisingly revealed to People. Upon finally finding out, though, "He was like, 'Really, mom?'" she said, to which her response was simply, "I'm like, 'Yeah, I just dipped my toe in it.'"

The 71-year-old will be featured in roles in Holiday Touchdown: A Chiefs Love Story, inspired by her son's whirlwind romance with girlfriend Taylor Swift, as well as Christmas on Call, due to release on Nov. 30 and Nov. 22, 2024, respectively.
As for her son's budding entertainment career, the big moves were far from a surprise for the longtime football mama.
"I think this is something he's always had in the back of his mind," she said, adding that decades of experience playing team sports has made him "very coachable."
"I just think that he thought, 'If I get an opportunity, I would like to try,'" she added. "He's pretty good at just about anything he does because he's got a good work ethic, so we'll see."
