Donald Trump's Five Children Are Working Hard for Their Father

Donald Trump—real estate mogul, reality TV star, former president of the United States and current Republican presidential nominee (with a clearly very long resume) —is well known as the head of his family. But his kids have spent plenty of time in the spotlight too, working for the family business and even starting their own ventures.

Here’s a look into Donald Trump’s kids, their families and what they do for a living.

How many children does Donald Trump have?

Donald Trump has five children—three sons and two daughters—all of whom he’s publicly praised as hardworking. According to his own reports, he loves being a father, despite a busy schedule during their early years as a real estate mogul.

In a New York Magazine article from 2004, he called himself a “really good father, but not a really good husband.

“You’ve probably figured out my children really like me—love me—a lot. It’s hard when somebody walks into the living room of Mar-a-Lago in Palm Beach and this is supposed to be, like, a normal life. But they’re very grounded and very solid,” he said.

He added, “The hardest thing for me about raising kids has been finding the time. I know friends who leave their business so they can spend more time with their children, and I say, ‘Gimme a break!’ My children could not love me more if I spent 15 times more time with them.”

Donald John Trump Jr. is the firstborn child of Donald Trump and the late Ivana Trump. He was born in New York City on Dec. 31, 1977. He graduated from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School in 2000 with an economics degree.

A year after graduating, Donald Jr. joined his dad’s business, the Trump Organization, where he now serves as executive vice president. He and his brother Eric reportedly oversaw the company during Donald Sr.’s term as president, and he also acted as a “close political advisor” to his father at this time.

Donald Jr. shares five children with ex-wife Vanessa Haydon: Kai, Donald III, Tristan, Spencer and Chloe. He was married to Haydon from 2005 to 2018. Currently, he’s engaged to Kimberly Guilfoyle, a former prosecutor, Fox News host and the ex-wife of California Gov. Gavin Newsom.

Ivanka Trump

Ivanka Marie Trump is the second child of Donald and Ivana Trump, and their first daughter. She was named Ivana Marie, after her mother, but has generally always been called “Ivanka,” which is a Slavic diminutive form of her given name.

Born on Oct. 30, 1981, she would go on to attend Georgetown University and the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School—the latter being family tradition. She soon joined the family real estate business and appeared on the reality show The Apprentice with her father. She also started her own line of clothing, accessories, handbags and jewelry in 2014.

During her father’s presidential term, Ivanka turned her attention from real estate and her clothing line (which she shut down in 2018) to politics and served as a White House advisor. However, after incidents including her eight-hour testimony to Congress about the Jan. 6, 2021 attack on the Capitol, as well as being deposed with her brothers for Trump Organization business practices, she has moved away from politics. She doesn’t plan to involve herself in her father’s current presidential campaign and has moved with her family to Miami.

Ivanka and her husband Jared Kushner share three children together: Arabella, Joseph and Theodore. She’s been married to Kushner—a businessman and investor— since 2009. He also served as a White House advisor to Trump.

Eric Trump

Eric Frederick Trump is the third child of Donald and Ivana Trump, born Jan. 6, 1984. His middle name, Frederick, is after Donald’s late father who died in 1999.

Eric did not go to Penn and instead graduated from Georgetown University. He started working for the family business after college and currently serves as executive vice president alongside older brother Don. Though he didn’t work at the White House like Ivanka, he’s publicly supported his dad’s political career in news interviews and on social media, and the two appear to share a close relationship.

He’s been married to former TV producer and co-chair of the Republican National Committee, Lara Yunaska, since 2014. The couple have two children: Eric (who goes by his middle name Luke) and Carolina.

Tiffany Trump

Tiffany Ariana Trump is Donald Trump’s fourth child and second daughter. She’s the only child born to Donald Trump and Marla Maples.

Born on Oct. 13, 1993, in West Palm Beach, Fla.—near Mar-a-Lago—Tiffany was raised mostly by her mother in Calabasas, Calif. After the divorce, Maples wanted to take her daughter away from the spotlight and give her a more normal childhood. In a 2016 People interview, Maples said, “Her daddy is a good provider with education and such, but as far as time, it was just me.”

Tiffany’s childhood away from New York City and her father’s influence may have shifted her career trajectory. She did attend the University of Pennsylvania—and later graduated from Georgetown with a law degree—but does not work for the Trump Organization. She also didn’t work for her father's administration when he was in office. However, she made speeches at the Republican National Convention in 2016 and 2020.

Though she has no children, Tiffany Trump is married to businessman Michael Boulos. The two tied the knot in November 2022.

Barron William Trump is Donald Trump’s fifth and youngest child. Born to Donald and Melania Trump on March 20, 2006, much less is known about him than his siblings, as he was still a child during Donald’s term in the White House. His private life has also been kept quiet due to Melania’s protectiveness, according to People.

Since Donald Trump’s presidency ended in early 2021, the family has lived in Palm Beach, Florida, where Barron attended Oxbridge Academy. Melania’s parents, Barron’s grandparents, also live on the Mar-a-Lago estate and “have been instrumental in his rearing,” a source said to People.

Barron graduated from Oxbridge in 2023 and started his first year at New York University in September 2024.
