Donald Trump Jr. stepped out with Florida socialite Bettina Anderson in an apparent display of romance on Monday, Dec. 9, as his relationship status with longtime fiancée Kimberly Guilfoyle remains unclear.

Trump, 46, and Anderson were seen holding hands during a nighttime stroll around Palm Beach, Fla., in photos obtained by Daily Mail. According to the outlet, the pair were celebrating Anderson’s birthday, spending nearly two hours at the popular downtown restaurant Buccan.

While the eldest son of President-elect Donald Trump has not publicly signaled an end to his relationship with Guilfoyle, 55, sources told PEOPLE in September that the pair had allegedly been spending a lot of time apart.

At the time, one source described Trump as more independent than Guilfoyle, coming and going as he pleases and quietly seeing Anderson.

PEOPLE attempted to reach Trump, Anderson and Guilfoyle for comment about the latest relationship reporting.
