President Donald Trump and first lady Melania Trump celebrated their 20th wedding anniversary on Wednesday, Jan. 22.

The couple tied the knot in 2005 at the Episcopal Church of Bethesda-by-the-Sea, then celebrated with a reception at Mar-a-Lago Club in Palm Beach, Fla. The nuptials were attended by 350 guests.

Their New York-based wedding planner, Preston Bailey, recently told Women's Wear Daily that one of the most ironic guests was his 2016 Democratic presidential opponent Hillary Clinton. Her husband, Bill Clinton, was also in attendance.

Bailey — who also orchestrated Ivanka Trump's 2009 wedding to Jared Kushner, as well as Eric Trump's 2014 wedding to Lara Trump — never imagined the Trumps’ trajectory would take them to the White House. "Not in a million years," he said.

Other notable figures in the star-studded crowd included: Barbara Walters, Les Moonves, Julie Chen Moonves, Tina Brown, Harold Evans, Katie Couric, Matt Lauer, Chris Matthews, Stone Phillips, Deborah Norville, Kelly Ripa, Cindy Adams and Gayle King.

"This was party, party, party and so social," continued Bailey, who added that there was an afterparty by the pool. "There were a lot of cliques, everybody seemed to know each other. This party was really going. There was no downtime so to speak."

The extravagant wedding on Jan. 22, 2005, in which every bill "was immediately approved," marked the third marriage for Donald, who was previously married to Ivana Trump and Marla Maples.

Donald first wed Ivana in 1977. During their relationship, they welcomed three children together — Donald Trump Jr., Ivanka and Eric. The former couple was married for more than a decade before their sudden split in 1989, when Ivana learned that Donald had been having an affair with Maples. Their divorce was finalized in 1992.

Following the separation, Donald continued his relationship with Maples. In 1993, their daughter, Tiffany Trump, was born, and just a few months later, Donald and Maples wed. Their marriage only lasted a few years and in 1997, the couple separated. Their divorce played out in court for two years — during which Donald met Melania.

A year after Donald and Melania said "I do," they welcomed their first child together, Barron Trump, in 2006. Barron is the youngest of Trump's five children.
