Doja Cat's Mom Alleges Her Son Physically Abused Her and Singer in Restraining Order Filing
According to documents obtained by PEOPLE, Doja Cat's mother Deborah Elizabeth Sawyer claims her son knocked the singer's teeth out
Doja Cat's mother Deborah Elizabeth Sawyer has alleged that her son Raman Dalithando Dlamini abused both her and the singer.
In court documents filed in Los Angeles Superior Court on Jan. 12 and obtained by PEOPLE, Sawyer, 62, filed a request for a temporary restraining order against her 30-year-old son and cites the singer (whose real name is Amala Ratna Zandile Dlamini), 28, as someone who needs protection.
According to the documents, the "Paint the Town Red" singer's brother has allegedly made her feel "unsafe and traumatized," knocking her teeth out and giving her a series of cuts and bruises.
The filing claims that “Raman has verbally assaulted her in a very degrading and demeaning [manner]" and has made Doja "feel unsafe and traumatized.”

Doja’s mom also alleges Raman stole and destroyed some of the Grammy winner's belongings.
Sawyer claims Raman has been physically abusive toward her “several times” in the past year, choking her and threatening to kill her. She also alleged the most recent violent incident with her son happened in early January.
In the documents, Doja's mother says she's been granted temporary restraining orders against Raman since 2017, but they've now expired.
Representatives for the "Say So" artist have not yet responded to PEOPLE's requests for comment.
