Doberman's Hilarious Stand Against 'Going Out the In Door' Has Everyone in Stitches
Dogs have a way of being creatures of habit. They find comfort in their routines, and many prefer not to veer off course. This applies to meal times, potty breaks, and turning in for bed.
Like us, they have preferences for their path on walks or the doors they use daily. And when they experience a change, it is always well received, but it can certainly give us a reason to laugh.
Watch this video from September 18 to see why this Doberman was up in paws!
This is priceless! Helene (@helenesverden) began recording when her friend @lisekirkerud could not exit the building through the open door because her Doberman had engaged his breaks. Even though his mom was on the other side and waiting on the sidewalk, he still didn’t feel it was safe to pass through. He understood the door on the right should be the one he used to exit and could not reconcile using the left-hand side. He could not be persuaded even after his mom walked in and out several times to show him it was possible. His Belgian Malinois friend appeared equally confused, watching him struggle to wrap his head around this concept. Finally, when this funny dog agreed to use this left side door, he leaped into the air with a dramatic bounce as if to avoid an imaginary barrier. OMG! What a character!

How Smart Are Dobermans?
Doberman Pinschers are known for their high intelligence and rank fifth on research scientist Stanley Coren’s list of the most intelligent dogs. They are easily trainable, athletic, and outgoing, making them excellent candidates for service work, search and rescue missions, and family companions. According to the AKC, this breed possesses excellent intuition and can quickly discern between a friend and a foe. Perhaps this dog’s sixth sense knew something was off, and he didn’t wish to take any chances by going the wrong way. Or maybe he just likes to follow the rules.
This silly fellow entertained people. Viewer @squid_chef remarked, “Oh, thank God he didn’t panic and overreact!” Ha! Viewer @jagertroop responded, “Utgång = exit. The dog was trying to leave through the exit, but the handler made the dog go through the entrance. Maybe the dog is smart, after all.” I think that’s the case. Viewer @harleygirlnik offered, “That dog has run into a sliding glass door before.” That could also be true.
While we can joke about this Doberman’s choices, he undoubtedly had his reasons. Even if we don’t understand them, they may be more important than we think.
