Diddy's Kids Sing Happy Birthday to Their Dad Over the Phone While He's in Jail Awaiting Sex Trafficking Trial

Six of Diddy's seven kids could be seen in the video — Quincy, Justin, Christian, D'Lila and Jessie, and Love

Sean "Diddy" Comb's kids shared a phone call with their father on his birthday as the music mogul remains behind bars since his arrest on charges of racketeering, sex trafficking and transportation to engage in prostitution.

On Monday, Nov. 4, the rapper's son Justin, 30, shared a Reel on his Instagram of himself and five of his six siblings as they called their dad in prison to wish him a happy birthday. Justin can be seen holding the phone, standing next to brother Christian, 26.

Twins D'Lila and Jessie, 17, sit on the other side of Christian, who goes by King, helping baby sister Love, 2, sing to their dad. Big brother Quincy, 33, sits on the other side of Love wearing a purple cap. Their sister Chance, 18, was not there in person but was on another phone via FaceTime.

"Happy birthday to Daddy," Love sings in the video, holding up frosting for Quincy to eat off her finger.

“I love you all, I love you all so much," Combs says over the phone. "I can’t wait to see ya’ll. I can’t wait to see ya’ll. I just want to say I’m proud of ya’ll, especially the girls— I mean, all of ya’ll."

"But just for being strong. Thank you all for being strong, thank you all for being by my side, supporting me, I love ya’ll. I get the best family in the world," he continues. "My birthday, I’m happy. Thank you all for giving me this call. Thank you very much. I love you all.”

"Can’t wait to see you in a couple of days," Justin says, to which his father replies, "Aight, see you in a couple of days."

Love then puts her face into the birthday cake, taking a big bite out of the frosting. "Pops, I love you. She’s eating the cake so you ain’t gonna have none left," Quincy says.

"Get it, get it for Daddy. I love you," Diddy says.

In late October, six of Combs' seven children — Quincy, Justin, Christian, Chance and twins D'Lila and Jessie — shared a joint statement obtained by PEOPLE "supporting" Diddy in the wake of his indictment.

"The past month has devastated our family," it began. "Many have judged both him and us based on accusations, conspiracy theories, and false narratives that have spiraled into absurdity on social media."

The statement continued: "We stand united, supporting you every step of the way. We hold onto the truth, knowing it will prevail, and nothing will break the strength of our family. WE MISS YOU & LOVE YOU DAD. Quincy, Justin, Christian, Chance, Jessie & D'Lila."

In September, Combs was indicted on charges of sex trafficking, racketeering and transportation to engage in prostitution, and has been at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn after being denied bail by two different judges.

His family traveled to New York City to support him at his hearing in federal court on Thursday, Oct. 10. Combs' mother, Janice Combs — who arrived from Florida — and his children were in attendance at the federal courthouse in Manhattan.

“The kids were very happy to support their father," a source close to the family told PEOPLE at the time. "The whole family was. They are united in their support and he was happy to see them all there.”

Combs has pleaded not guilty to the charges against him and his attorneys have filed an appeal to get him released on bail ahead of his trial, which has been scheduled for May 2025.
