Denver Family Looking for Missing 13-Year-Old Boy Who Was Last Seen Leaving Home 3 Months Ago

A Denver family is still looking for 13-year-old Diego Hernandez, who has been missing since December.

Heather Hernandez, Diego’s mom, was passing out flyers in Denver on Wednesday, according to FOX affiliate KDVR. She said she was determined to find her son.
“I try to work, I try to make it normal as possible for the kids to go to school and have the same routine, but when we are missing a missing piece, it’s not the same,” the mom told the station.

On Feb. 24, the NCMEC released footage that appears to show the teen “leaving his home in Denver, Colorado in the middle of the night.”

The footage shows Diego “putting a jacket on, grabbing a bike, and then hopping over their fence.

The mom previously told NBC affiliate KKCO that the night before her son’s disappearance was normal and that the family had dinner together before going to bed.
The Denver Police Department did not immediately respond to PEOPLE’s request for comment.
Diego is 4-foot-9 tall with brown eyes and black hair and weighs about 120 lbs.
