David Beckham plays golf with veterans as he issues special Remembrance Day message

David Beckham has paid tribute to veterans in a special Remembrance Sunday message.

The former England captain shared footage of himself meeting with the Chelsea Pensioners and listening to stories of their service to the country.

The footballer can be seen enjoying a game of golf with several veterans in a video he shared on Instagram on Sunday (10 November).

Beckham said: “I always love spending time with the Chelsea Pensioners, hearing them share memories and listening to their stories of service to our country.

“This Remembrance Sunday, I’m thinking about the sacrifice so many have made for our freedom, and all those who are living in fear and danger in areas of conflict around the world.”
