Dark Secrets of Diddy’s Red Rooms Exposed in New Documentary
Alleged eyewitnesses, some of whom claim they “witnessed everything,” shared what they remember of Sean “Diddy” Combs and his “red” rooms in the trailer for the new documentary special Diddy: The Making of a Bad Boy.
The 90-minute special, premiering January 14 on Peacock, will give viewers a “raw, exclusive look at Sean Combs long before he was known as Puff or Diddy,” according to the streamer’s synopsis, featuring “never-before-seen footage and stories from those who know him best.” One of those stories, revealed in a clip from the trailer, is about the ominous meaning of the colored bulbs Diddy allegedly used in his studio rooms.
“I’ve been with Sean for quite awhile and I’ve captured a lot of moments,” said one anonymous alleged eyewitness behind a voice changer and the cover of shadow. “Any time that the studio or any room is red, he’s making love and sex,” they added. “Some of the girls that were in the rooms, for sure, were underage.”
Combs was indicted on three counts including racketeering and sex trafficking last year. He was arrested on September 16 in the lobby of a Manhattan hotel, and has since been held without bail until his trial in May. Prior and since the indictment, Combs has been hit with several lawsuits from alleged victims—men, women, and children—who allege he drugged, raped, physically assaulted, and/or trafficked them.
One of the biggest bombshells from the indictment included revelations about his alleged “freak offs”—elaborate sex parties in large numbers which included people who were coerced or threatened into participating. Authorities say the relentless sexual activity was so intense that people required IV fluids to recover from the drug use and exertion. Raids of Combs’ homes early last year uncovered a thousand bottles of baby oil authorities believe were stocked by employees in preparation for more of these events.
The Peacock special comes after a docuseries from TMZ and Tubi about Combs called The Downfall of Diddy: Inside the Freak Offs. Both have notably beat rapper and regular Diddy-troller 50 Cent to the punch, as he develops a docuseries for Netflix about the disgraced mogul with Shut Up and Dribble director Alex Stapleton.
That project promises to offer a “complex narrative spanning decades, not just the headlines or clips seen so far,” 50 told Variety in September. No release date has been announced for the series.
The new Peacock trailer also promises a deep dive into intimate details about how Combs’ carried out the alleged crimes and the machine that enabled him to do so. The streamer added in the film’s description that The Making of a Bad Boy will “challenge viewers to rethink everything they thought they knew about the mogul behind the music—and the mugshot.”
