Darius Rucker Unveils Adorable Cavalier King Charles Spaniel Puppies and Their Heartwarming Trick

Getting a new puppy is a lot of work! The housebreaking, chewing, and everything in between can quickly tire us out. Therefore, if you're planning to get a new puppy and want them to have a companion, it might be a good idea to get two simultaneously so you don't have to do it again.

It's a concept that appears to be working well for this musician. Meet his adorable five-month-old Cavaliers in this video shared on August 26:

Although I've never had one, I fell in love with this breed after meeting my first years ago. Their charming and gentle personalities make them a pleasure to be around, and their beautiful faces always maintain the innocence of a puppy. So it's easy to understand why Darius (@dariusrucker) chose to get two at once. Although it's double work, it's also double the joy. Let's be honest: if you're training one dog, you might as well train two. He's doing a great job teaching his five-month-old boys tricks, as he had no trouble getting Larry or Freddie to kiss him upon request. Unfortunately, as he jokes, teaching them to do their business outside isn't as easy. No doubt about that!

Considerations for Adopting Two Puppies at the Same Time

While there are plenty of shining examples of puppies from the same litter being adopted and living an extraordinary life, some potential problems need to be considered. The Humane Society reports that when two puppies are brought up together and never spend time alone, it can lead to separation anxiety. To overcome this and build confidence, they recommend that puppy training sessions, early socialization, and walking be done separately, and they should also have their own crates for sleeping each night. Overcoming unwanted behaviors can also be trickier with two dogs, so constant supervision is essential as they learn what is expected instead of naughty behaviors from each other. Practically speaking, having two puppies at once also doubles the cost of medications, veterinary care, and food.

Fans were thrilled by this announcement. Viewer @frankshivery responded, "Cavaliers are the best!" They are a wonderful breed. Another person shared, "I have three Cavaliers. They are like potato chips. You can't just have one!" Ha! That seems to be the consensus. Viewer @vndlfan remarked, "We have 3 Cavs! Be careful. They will steal your heart!" It appears as though that ship has already sailed.

These beautiful pops have hit the jackpot and their new home. As they age, perhaps Darius will have them join him on stage. Based on these reactions, they will undoubtedly have the crowd going wild.
